Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Resume Rhino on this site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and the individual operator of Resume Rhino, based in California.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. By using it, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Description of Service

Resume Rhino reads a PDF you upload, reports problems it finds, and can apply a small set of fixes to a copy of the file. It is provided free of charge.

Features and availability may change. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes.

3. Your File

• Upload only files you have the right to use. By uploading a file, you represent that you have that right.
• Your file stays yours. We claim no rights in it.
• Keep your original. Open a fixed file and read it before you send it to anyone. Resume Rhino is not a backup service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Resume Rhino to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the rights of any third party
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers, including by uploading files meant to damage or probe it
• Use the service in a way that places unreasonable load on the infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service

Automated access, scraping, and use of Resume Rhino's interface by another application or site are not allowed without written permission. We reserve the right to block access for violations of these terms.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of Resume Rhino is also governed by our privacy disclosure, which describes what data we collect and how we use it. By using the service, you agree to the collection and use of data as described there.

We do not sell your data. Your file and its contents pass through Resume Rhino during one request and are never stored.

6. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss. The service limits how many files can be checked each minute and each day.

Resume Rhino inspects the file itself. It does not run any employer's or vendor's software, so a file that passes here can still be handled badly by a particular system. A clean report does not mean you will get an interview or a job.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Resume Rhino and its operator shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of revenue, or missed opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the service, regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) and even if advised of the possibility of such damages. If we are found liable anyway, our total liability to you is limited to a refund of the money you paid us to use the service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
